Everyone is talking about IT jobs, remote work and freelancing these days. But there are jobs that pay just as well – with much less competition. One of them is mobile boring, a repair technique used in heavy equipment maintenance.
What it’s about:
When machines such as excavators and loaders wear out, the pin holes and bushings begin to wear out. Replacing the entire part is expensive and time-consuming. Instead, the hole can be restored to its original condition directly on site using a mobile boring machine.
I began to take a serious look at it when I realized:
- One job pays between €400 and €1,000.
- You don’t need a workshop – the whole set will fit in an ordinary car
- You work with real machines, real problems – and the demand is constant
What do you need to get started?
- Understand the process – welding + precision mobile boring.
- Buy a compact mobile boring machine (they exist and are mobile-friendly)
- Start offering services to repair shops or local construction companies
- Performing on-site work, sometimes completing within a day
Is €5,000 per month realistic?
Let’s count it:
- Even 1-2 jobs per week = ~2000€
- With regular customers of €4,000-5,000 per month, it’s as possible as possible
Sure, it’s not passive income. Yes, you have to learn some skills. But you:
- You work on your own account
- You avoid working from 9am to 5pm
- Earn well on practical, technical work
The best part? There’s demand and very little competition – especially outside the big cities.
Is there anyone here who is involved in mobile delineation or thinking of setting up something like this?
