An extreme case of our team"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Repairing holes in a ship crane in Turkey in 7 days.<\/h2>\n\n<p>Imagine: a ship stuck in port, loading operations paralyzed, a crane folded, and each day of stoppage is thousands of euros in losses.<br\/>We left Krakow for Istanbul by car (more than 4,000 km round trip) to restore the Liebherr crane to operation. And we knew from the first hours &#8211; this would be one of the most difficult jobs we have undertaken. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u26a0\ufe0f <strong>The problem:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p><br\/>Due to worn holes, the pins fell out and the crane arm folded.<br\/>Without immediate repair, the ship could not go to sea.<br\/>There was a lack of specialists on site who could fix the problem.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd27 <strong>Our solution:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p><br\/>\ud83d\udcd0 We took surveying measurements with a total station to perfectly align the axes.<br\/>\ud83d\udd25 We heated the ears to 100\u00b0C so that the surfacing would be even &#8211; with an air temperature of only +5\u00b0C, this was a major challenge.<br\/>\ud83d\udca1 We aligned the shaft with telescopes, surfaced the material with temperature control to avoid defects.<br\/>\u2699\ufe0f Final reaming to the original diameter restored full functionality.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u26d3 <strong>Conditions were as difficult as possible:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p><br\/>\ud83d\udca8 Strong, cold wind from the sea, working 30 meters above the water<br\/>\ud83e\uddf1 The entire ship was surrounded by scaffolding &#8211; we had to pass up and down many times<br\/>\ud83d\udd25 In order to make perfect welds for ultrasonic inspection (UT), we shielded ourselves with fireproof materials, creating protective zones by hand<br\/>\ud83d\udec3 Delays at the border due to equipment, tense negotiations with the port and technical supervision<br\/>\ud83e\uddcd \u200d\u2642 Workers accidentally upset the centering of the shaft several times, stepping on it<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u23f1 <strong>Pressure from all sides<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p><br\/>The ordering party urged us every day.<br\/>In the end, he was grateful &#8211; because we did something that others did not undertake.<br\/>Although with the payment began \u201cclassic difficulties\u201d, we do not regret: we did our work at \ud83d\udcaf.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcac <strong>Our approach:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p><br\/>We do not work for \u201cquick profit\u201d. We build a reputation and do not leave orders in the middle.<br\/>If help is needed &#8211; we are ready to work 24\/7, on holidays, in the cold, at altitude &#8211; but such work should be properly appreciated.<br\/>Professionalism is not just hands and tools.
